Our guide will show you how to turn on two-step verification in the TikTok app.

If you tapped “Email,” type your preferred email address and then tap “Send code.” TikTok will send you an email allowing you to verify your email address.

When you’re done turning on two-step verification, you can tap the other option (SMS or Email) to turn it on as a backup method. That is, if you originally chose “SMS,” you can turn on “Email” as a backup verification method, and vice versa.
