Ziggy Stardust has landed on TikTok.

The David Bowie estate, Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group teamed up to bring the @DavidBowie channel to the video creation application, debuting it on what would have been the cultural icon’s 74th birthday.

The channel features videos from Bowie’s five decades of “innovation and reinvention,” and a dedicated playlist on the TikTok Sounds page gives creators access to tracks including “Ashes to Ashes,” “Fame,” “Heroes,” “Let’s Dance,” “Life on Mars?” and “Space Oddity.”

#TheStarman hashtag challenge will kick off Sunday (Jan. 10), encouraging creators to use Bowie’s “Starman” track in celebration of his life and work by re-creating his iconic looks from over the years.

TikTok shared a July 2002 quote from Bowie in its blog post: “The absolute transformation of everything that we ever thought about music will take place within 10 years, and nothing is going to be able to stop it.”
